This bill changes equalized HOST by eliminating a provision that requires distribution of proceeds to a county when a new municipality does not maintain roads. As amended by the House, the above provisions were removed and replaced with language from several other bills: HB 181 (sales tax information for local governments), HB 93 (interest on sales tax refunds and direct payment of sales tax by certain purchasers), and HB 59 (income tax credits for historic structure rehabilitation).
